Day 244

Lighting at dusk. The electrician is working on tweaks, correcting wiring shortcomings / oversights. Another note, you can tell we need a privacy feature in the front balcony. The plan is to install a louvered rail system up to the cross member visible about 1/3rd of the way up the screen from the balcony floor. It'll be a custom fabrication and I need to resolve it quickly since the railing is required for the Certificate of Occupancy ("CO").

Day 241

Kitchen countertops complete. Range hood installation underway.
Fireplace wall virtually finished. Only thing missing in this photo is hardwood flooring! Oh, and a very good cleaning!
Landscaping coming together, raised beds in foreground; water feature behind.
Powder bath cabinet ready for install. Has a nifty little storage door on the right side. Terrific work (as usual) by Marcelo Giannone at Escalada USA.

Day 235

Dumpster gone, replaced by fence bin for trash; front balcony screen installation scheduled for tomorrow.
Testing a couple yellow paint samples for the front door.
Carport is shaping up, ceiling fans installed & paint nearly complete. Beginning to show the intended "pavilion" feel.
"Water feature" CMU (cinder block) structure nearly completed.
View from Master Bedroom.
Water wall (left side) tile application underway,  sheer nozzle waterfall on right.
Electric fixtures almost completely installed throughout house, also site built cabinets were stained over the weekend.

First floor concrete finishing underway. The interesting texture is actually the first application which was unacceptable and has been ground off. Attempt 2 underway.  :(

This group of wall cabinets delineates between the kitchen and the dining room.

Day 226

Water Feature under construction

Exterior Programmable LED lighting fixtures. Think instant Christmas lighting - and maybe Greekfest (or whatever holiday) lighting too!

What's wrong with this picture? (Hint, they might fit better in the kitchen???)
First bit of color; hallway view from master bedroom; wine closet and the wet bar.
First floor concrete stain process underway. And check out the wall-mounted art lights; thought I'd select a fixture that will constantly trigger compulsive tendencies to keep them perfectly aligned  :)
Kitchen cabinets waiting for appliances and countertops.
